Getting to NorCal Dreamin'

If you are coming from outside of Sacramento, here is some info to help you plan your trip.

Below are some suggestions on how to get to NorCal Dreamin’ no matter where you are, local or out of towner.  NorCal Dreamin’ is at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento, which is in the heart of Downtown Sacramento. The conference is located near 3 major highways/freeways; I-5, I-80 and US 50, making it extremely easy to get to. The airport is only 10 miles away, as well.

Flying to Sacramento is extremely easy.  Sacramento International Airport (SMF) is only 10 miles from the conference. Cab, riding sharing, rental cars, or shuttle services are quick and easy.

Rental cars are easy access at SMF. But keep in mind that Downtown Sacramento parking can get busy, so if you are able to do without a rental car that is recommended.

If you are coming from the Bay Area to NorCal Dreamin’, we highly recommend Amtrak’s Capitol Corridor.  The train runs from multiple locations in the Bay Area and drops off right in downtown Sacramento. They even have a dedicated bus that will pickup within the city to take you to the Amtrak station. It is a .9 mile walk to the conference from the drop off location or a quick ride share.

Capitol Corridor runs from 4:30am to midnight with currently 15 departure/pickup times. The trains have food and drink, but most importantly for many it has Wifi.  Much easier and less stressful than driving.

You can of course drive and park (info on parking coming soon), but Capitol Corridor is extremely easy and comfortable.

We have a page dedicated to Capitol Corridor with more info – https://www.norcaldreamin.com/capitol-corridor/

Obviously you can drive to the NorCal Dreamin’ conference, either being local or near-by. But keep in mind that the conference is in downtown Sacramento, which is a major government and business area.  A lot of parking but parking structures are big and busy. We will be listing soon where to park and how to reserve parking, if needed.

But if you are looking for some suggestions to make things easier, we suggest parking a light rail station and taking the light rail to the conference. Easy and won’t have to deal with downtown traffic. Here is a list of Sacramento Light Rail Stations with parking.
